Advanced HTTP Request Automaton is a scriptable utility that submits HTTP GET and POST requests to an Internet or Intranet address and optionally persists HTTP responses to files. The application comes with an XML configuration file that maintains the following information: target URI with optional query string, HTTP request type, 'persist HTTP responses to files' yes/no flag, persisted HTTP responses directory path and persisted HTTP responses file extension. Advanced HTTP Request Automaton can be used by Windows Task Scheduler or scripts to automate submission of HTTP requests and to persist corresponding HTTP responses to files. View user guide (PDF).
How to automate submission of HTTP GET requests with parameters:- Create a query string that contains your parameter and value pairs.
- Append your query string to a fully qualified target URI and save it in the Uri node of application's XML configuration file.
- Execute Advanced HTTP Request Automaton in order to submit your HTTP GET request.
How to automate submission of HTTP POST requests with parameters:
- Create an HTML, PHP, ASP.Net, etc. file that contains a POST form with your parameters and corresponding values.
- Upload your POST form file to a website on a local or remote web server.
- Save fully qualified URI of the POST form file in the Uri node of application's XML configuration file.
- Execute Advanced HTTP Request Automaton in order to submit your HTTP POST request.
